May 2010: Over the next few weeks, fifteen primary schools take part in the Litter Pick which closes our "Life of the Church" teaching in our Mighty Marvels curriculum. The aim is to increase civic pride and demonstrate the importance of helping the community. It’s part of our effort to help the children of Rhondda to be responsible and positive contributors to society. None of the eight feeder primary schools to Treorchy Comp are involved in the Mighty Marvels programme as yet. But this week sees them take part in a Sporting Marvels Adventure Day at the big school. The goal is to ease transition to the big school and to introduce the pupils to Sporting Marvels prior to their graduation to Treorchy in September.
